Auto Detection not working

Auto detection feature is basically looking for the weapon selected highlighted in blue within the hotbar. Things like background brightness can alter the results it might produce.
It works better on higher resolutions (preferred 2k) and higher graphics settings the crisper the image of the weapon the better the result.
Bear in mind that auto-detection feature is fairly new and doesnt support many skins . However theres a way to completely disable skins and have the best results:


Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content
Delete the folder 252490
Make a text document with the name 252490 but delete the extension so its just a file not a text document
Go over to steam right click Rust , click properties and within General tab there will be a tab named "Launch Options" where you copy and paste these commands:
-graphics.itemskins 0 -graphics.itemskintimeout 0 -graphics.itemskinunload 0
